Cooper Mountain Vineyards
Newberg Estate
Located just outside of Newberg in the heart of the Chehalem Mountains AVA, this historic estate carries more than a century of stories within its hills and barn walls. As local legend tells it, the property was once owned by a mysterious grande dame whose three marriages each ended in untimely and suspicious circumstances—adding a touch of folklore to this already storied place.
By 1910, the farm had been planted to walnuts, and the barn served as a walnut drying facility for decades. Circa 2000, Pinot Noir vines were planted here and the historic barn was transformed into a wine tasting room, beginning a new chapter rooted in Oregon wine..
Today, after thoughtfully refreshing the estate, we are honored to welcome guests to the place we now proudly call home. Surrounded by vines, history, and the spirit of the Chehalem Mountains, this is a gathering place shaped by time, community, and a deep connection to the land.
Join us as we embark upon this beautiful adventure of life here in the Chehalem Mountains.
Our Newberg tasting room is located at 17770 NE Calkins Lane, Newberg, OR 97132.
We are open:
Sat & Sun, 11 am to 4:30 pm

Éclade de Moules with Tournant
June 14, 2026
Join us at our Newberg estate as we welcome our friends from Tournant for an afternoon celebrating many of our favorite things: community, great food, and great wine.
Gather among the vines for a live-fire feast inspired by the Pacific Northwest and the French coast, featuring oysters, mussels, clams, albacore tuna, bay shrimp, and the best of the season, all cooked over open flame and paired with our fresh, lively organic and biodynamic wines.
A highlight of the day will be Tournant’s take on Éclade de Moules—a centuries-old French tradition of roasting mussels over pine boughs and rosemary, filling the air with fragrant smoke and bringing people together around the fire.
As spring gives way to summer and the longest days of the year arrive, we’ll raise a glass to Oregon, friendship, and the enduring pleasure of slowing down around a shared table.
Chehalem Mountains Estates Tasting Trail
A new way to experience the Chehalem Mountains, this guided two-mile hike invites guests to move, breathe, and settle into the landscape before settling into the glass.
Offered on Sunday mornings, this group experience begins at Adelsheim and winds through estate vines and into neighboring Cooper Mountain Vineyards, where the landscape- and the story-continues. Along the trail, guides share a seasonal look at vineyard life, from canopy growth to harvest rhythms, with moments to pause, reset, and take in the surroundings. Guests are invited to engage their senses along the way, with fresh fruit and ingredients sourced from the land itself, including berries from the trail and Jack’s Garden.
Midway through, guests are welcomed to Cooper Mountain Vineyards for a tasting that offers both a shift in perspective and a deeper look at a neighboring producer’s approach—underscoring a shared commitment to collaboration within the Willamette Valley.
The return to Adelsheim brings the experience full circle, with a seated tasting designed to connect what guests have seen, walked, and tasted throughout the afternoon.
$95/person or $50/member includes two wine tastings: Cooper Mountain & Adelsheim
