Cooper Mountain Pinot Noir at the Chicago Table
There’s something lovely about seeing a wine you’ve grown and made find its way to someone else’s table. Recently, our Cooper Mountain Pinot Noir landed on WGN’s Spotlight Chicago, where wine educator Regine T. Rousseau shared it as part of a conversation about Come Over October.
The invitation is simple: gather around a table, share a bottle, and make time for one another.
Pinot Noir and Mushroom Flatbread
During the segment, Regine introduced our 2022 Willamette Valley Pinot Noir, highlighted our organic and biodynamic farming, and paired the wine with mushroom flatbread.
It’s a pairing we’d happily bring home. Mushrooms echo Pinot Noir’s earthy character, while the wine’s acidity brings freshness alongside a savory bite. Flatbread also lends itself to the kind of gathering we love: something warm in the middle of the table, easy to share as the conversation unfolds.
From Our Land to Your Table
Our story began in 1978, when Dr. Robert Gross and his wife, Corrine, planted the first vines at Cooper Mountain. What followed was a continuing commitment to caring for the land, earning organic certification in 1995 and biodynamic certification in 1999.
That work happens season after season—in the soil, among the vines, and through each harvest. Seeing Regine bring that part of our story into the conversation meant a great deal to us.
Our land is our life and our life is our wine. And sharing that wine is where the story continues.
An Invitation for October
Come Over October offers a welcome reason to turn “we should get together” into an actual invitation.
Make a mushroom flatbread. Put out a few plates. Pull up another chair. A gathering can be as simple as that.
Thank you to Regine T. Rousseau and the Spotlight Chicago team for including Cooper Mountain at the table. We’re grateful to be part of a conversation that celebrates wine alongside food, friendship, and time together.
