2007 Pinot Noir 'Reserve'

Hot off the 'bottling line' is the much anticipated 2007 Pinot Noir "Reserve'!

(Beaverton, OR) With summer quietly winding down (for you fellow Northwesterners did it ever really start?) and OND rapidly approaching its time for the 2007 Willamette Valley Pinot Noirs to seep their way into markets near and far. We are very, very excited about these 2007 Pinot Noirs. Deem it what you will , 2007 was a challenging vintage. Wineries were waiting on the sugar levels while eyeing the looming clouds which brought with them the rains. Remember we are an organic/biodyanmic winery, get out of jail free cards (chemicals) don't apply! Remarkably the grapes came in with no disease and we live to tell another tale. 9 months later the 'fruit of our labor' (yes I know my puns need some work) is in bottle and opening up into one hell of a complex Burgundy (another cliche) style Pinot. Forget jammy, this guy has got balanced structure. Blackberry, blueberries, and black licorice on the bouquet with hints of smoke and leather. Dark cherry and spice coat the palate with cola streaks mid palate. Fine tannins and beautiful acidity round out the finish. Alcohol levels are down and for Pinot Noir purists this is your vintage.

  In order to satisfy the demands that I heard for this wine as I traveled across the country we increased production.It is my pleasure to announce that we can finally offer each region an ample amount of this wine. (So no more of that 'damn' striped label. Yes we have heard it all, old man's shirt, Martha Stewart's linens, barcode, etc. You got a good one for us, let us know!) So look for me as I travel the county to bring you this serious pinot noir, for either serious or not so serious pinot noir fans everywhere.
