Susan Baltus, National Sales Manager

Sue's love of wine is so great that her friends have taken to calling Her "Sue, The Great Lover of Wine." Granted, as nicknames go it's no "Ringo," but creativity and wordsmithery are seldom required for admission to the wine industry, which is where Sue accumulated most of her current friends. To say that Sue has a wealth of experience in wine marketing is to say that she is...very experienced in it.  After spending a decade calling on specialty wine accounts for a major distributor, she left as the company's reigning No. 1 sales person, a status she held for many years.

Sue brings to Cooper Mountain a passion for wine done well, a genuine love of people and an appreciation for the lighter side of life. Her "Chick Night” wine tasting/gourmet dinner affairs are legendary, and last summer's version doubled as a successful fund-raiser for breast cancer support.  Sue has explored some of the most exotic wine regions of the world, which has only reinforced her belief that some of the world's best are emerging from Oregon vintners like Cooper Mountain (a claim that advanced her cause dramatically during the interview process).

When not promoting the virtues of Cooper Mountain Wine, Sue is sleeping.Word has it, though, she also enjoys a long bike ride, a great CD, any movie that makes her laugh and quality time with her friends, family and Jackie, also known, by the aforementioned friends and family, as "The Worst Cat Not Yet Dead."  You must admit, it beats "Sue, The Great Lover of Wine."
